SpiceJet has decided to offer a discount of up to 30 per cent on all domestic flights to certified healthcare professionals as a tribute to their fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
The airline will offer 30 per cent off on its base fares to the healthcare workers who have been leading India’s fight against coronavirus with their relentless and selfless service. They will have to submit a professional ID/registration number at the time of booking to avail the offer. The same ID would be validated at the time of check-in/boarding as identity proof
The offer, which excludes items like airport usage charges, taxes and so on, is applicable for bookings and travel until 30th September, 2021.
“Passengers need to submit a valid Healthcare professional ID / Registration number as issued by a Government body such as Medical Council of India (MCI), State Medical Council or Indian Nursing Council (INC) or government-approved healthcare organisation for which the healthcare professional works, while making the booking,” SpiceJet said.
In case anyone fails to produce relevant identity documents while boarding, the passenger will be required to pay normal fares, the airline informed.
The gesture from SpiceJet comes in the middle of healthcare workers’ continuous battle against the raging Covid-19 pandemic. Thousands of doctors, nurses and paramedics have sacrificed their lives so far to ensure the well being of others.
