As the country ramp up efforts to vaccinate majority of population as soon as possible, Apollo Hospitals Executive Vice-chairperson Shobana Kamineni on Thursday said that Sputnik V, the third vaccine approved in India will be available through the Apollo Hospitals from the second week of June.”
domestic pharmaceutical company Panacea Biotech has started production of Sputnik-V corona virus vaccine in India in association with Russian government investment fund Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF). The first consignment of Covid 19 Sputnik-V vaccine will be sent to the Gamalaya Center in Russia, where its quality test will be tested.
Sputnik V was registered in India on 12 April 2021 with permission for emergency use. Along with this, its use was also started in the vaccination campaign from 14 May to prevent the corona virus.
