Thai peacekeepers help underprivileged children

COVID -19 came as a challenge for everyone in the world and the most affected were those, who were marred by political warfares. Sudan is one such place. Peacekeepers from Thailand recently helped some underprivileged children in South Sudan. They handed over several things if need like clothes, chairs, study material, fans and sport equipments to the Samson Nursery and Primary School in the city of Lainya Country in South Sudan.
The children greeted the peacekeepers with smiles in return of this gesture. The childrens became deprived of all these basic needs due to COVID-19 and the warfare.

“Education is the first step for people to gain knowledge, critical thinking, empowerment and skills they need to make this world a better place. To bring sustainable peace is one of our key mandates and education for all plays a key role in achieving that,” said  Lieutenant Colonel Kaisin Sasunee, Commander of the contingent.
