Thailand Reopens for Indian Travellers

Indian tourists could not go to Thailand due to Corona for almost 2 years, but now there is good news for those Indians who want to know Thailand, yes now Indians can also go to Thailand Thailand has reopened its doors for Indians. Huh. Thailand’s tourism department is allowing visitors from 78 countries, including India, to be fully immunized under a sandbox plan.

Due to no air bubble agreement between Fihlal Thailand and India, no flights are being operated so Indians will have to wait a little longer. Thailand updated the list of countries and territories from which travelers can enter the country from 70 to 78 under the “sandbox” program. India was among the eight countries that have been added to the list.

Serum Institute of India’s Covidshield COVID-19 vaccine has also been included in Thailand’s list of approved vaccines. Apart from this, vaccines also include vaccines from Moderna and Pfizer. A senior official of Thai tourism said that tourists from India can visit Thailand under the “Phuket Sandbox and Samui Plus” programme.

In a social media post, the Royal Thai Embassy said that under the Phuket sandbox programme, “Thai and non-Thai citizens can now travel from India to Thailand through the Phuket sandbox.

  • Travelers must complete vaccinations at least 14 days prior to travel in order to travel. A valid visa will be required.
