On Wednesday, both Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari reached Nandigram. Mamta Banerjee performed the Bhagwan Shiva’s Jalabhisheka at the Shiva temple here. At the same time, Shubhendu Adhikari rallied with his supporters, reached Hanuman temple and offered prayers.
Mamta filed her nomination from Nandigram seat at around 1.55 pm on Wednesday afternoon. To show his prowess before enrolling, he did a one-kilometer-long roadshow in Haldia, where thousands of TMC activists were present. After enrolling, Mamta has left for Nandigram.
