UP Govt Cancels Class 10 UP Board Exams 2021 due to COVID-19

In view of surge in number of Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the Indian state, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced to cancel the Class-10 Board exams 2021. UP board class 12 exams is proposed in second week of July if situation is under control. Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad has decided to promote the Class 10th students of the state without any exams.

Earlier, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in the backdrop of rising Covid-19 cases in the county, decided to cancel the class 12th CBSE board exams. The decision to conduct state board exams are left to respective state bodies.

As far as Class 12 board exams are concered, the UP Education Minister Dinesh Sharma after a discussion with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday, announced that it has been decided to conduct the class 12th examination in view of the future of the children.

The examination has been proposed in the second week of July taking all kinds of precautions and safety. Duration for class 12 exams reduced to 1.5 hours from earlier 3.15 hours. Only three questions to be asked.
