Aam Aadmi Party has declared its CM face for Uttarakhand assembly elections. AAP has made Colonel Ajay Kothiyal the face of CM. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced this.
In Dehradun, Uttarakhand, Arvind Kejriwal said that “Ajay Kotiyal should be made the chief ministerial candidate of Aam Aadmi Party. This is the person who served the country by staying in the army. Confronted Pakistan and terrorists by risking their lives. The people of Uttarakhand need such patriots.
Arvind Kejriwal said that “Uttarakhand will be made the spiritual capital of the Hindus of the world. If proper arrangements are made, 10 times more people will come to visit than the number of people who come. This will give employment to the people. Delhi will be the administrative capital of the country, Uttarakhand will be the spiritual capital of the Hindus of the world.
Earlier, when Arvind Kejriwal came to Dehradun, he had promised to provide 300 units of electricity free to the people of Uttarakhand, this time also it was expected that he can make a big election announcement.
On this occasion, Colonel Ajay Kothiyal said that “Thank you very much to Arvind Kejriwal. It is a matter of great pride for me that he gave me this responsibility. It is a day of great honor for me.” He said that “Uttarakhand will be made the spiritual capital. Bathing in the Ganges river washes away all sins.
Colonel Ajay Kothiyal had joined the Aam Aadmi Party in July this year. Amidst speculation that former CM Tirath Singh Rawat would contest the by-election from Gangotri, AAP had announced to field Colonel Kothiyal against him. However, before that Tirath Singh Rawat had to resign.
Retired Colonel Ajay Kothiyal’s name was running at the fore for AAP’s CM face. Its indications were also given by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia during his visit to Uttarakhand recently. During this, Sisodia had said, ‘Our party is preparing to contest the assembly elections in Uttarakhand on the face of retired Colonel Kothiyal and it is believed that a formal announcement will be made soon.’
