Vaccination Figure in India Crosses 110 Crores

India is making rapid strides in the fight against the pandemic and crossed the 110 crore mark on Wednesday in the ongoing vaccination campaign against COVID-19. Recently the country had achieved the target of 100 crore vaccinations. So far 74,67,68,420 first dose has been given in the country while 35,56,84,210 second dose has been given. Doses of 1,10,24,52,630 vaccines have been given.

The top five states with the highest vaccine doses are Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, who have achieved this feat within just 9 months of the start of the vaccination campaign in India.

Earlier, on the occasion of Corona vaccination figure crossing 100 crore in India, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya launched a song and an audio-video film from Red Fort in Delhi. Mansukh Mandaviya said that India has created history by crossing the historic 100 crore vaccination mark. 100 crore vaccination is a feeling of self-confidence of the countrymen. 100 crore vaccination is the Diwali of self-reliant India.

The nationwide vaccination campaign was started on January 16, in which health workers were vaccinated in the first phase. The vaccination of frontline personnel started from February 2. Later, the government decided to expand its vaccination campaign by allowing all people above 18 years of age to be vaccinated from May 1.
