To avoid corona, all the states of the country are trying to complete the vaccination campaign expeditiously and to reach the corona vaccine to the people belonging to every section. In this regard, the Delhi government has taken a new initiative. The ‘Vaccination on Wheels’ campaign has been started in Delhi. Under which the vaccination center will reach people’s homes.
In this campaign, more attention is being paid to the vaccination of the working class who do not have the facility or information to book a mobile phone or online vaccine slot. That is why the vaccine is being administered to the laborers without appointment here. This type of vaccination campaign is being run for the first time in Delhi.
The first bus of ‘Vaccination on Wheels’ is doing the work of vaccination to deliver the vaccine to the workers living in Loha Mandi of Narayana Industrial Area falling in Rajendra Place assembly area of Delhi. Under this drive, 150 people are being vaccinated every day without appointment. The specialty of Vaccine on Wheels is that every person coming here is registered on the spot. After that the vaccine is given.
A vaccination area, waiting area and observation area have been made inside the bus. There is a team of doctors and nurses present at all times. There is also a provision of staff and ambulance to deal with any kind of medical emergency. The Delhi government says that the goal of this campaign is to reach the last person standing in the queue to protect the vaccine. This special van has been arranged to get rid of this problem for those who were unable to reach the vaccination center by taking appointment due to lack of smartphone.
Aam Aadmi Party MLA Raghav Chadha said about the beginning to deliver the vaccine to the homes of the workers living in Loha Mandi, saying that due to lack of smartphone and lack of awareness, many workers living in Loha Mandi had not yet got the vaccine. Some workers had informed about this, after which this special vaccination drive was arranged.
