Vaccination stopped for two days in Maharashtra

The second wave of Corona continues to wreak havoc in the country. In many states, the third phase of Kovid vaccination against Corona has started from today, under which the vaccine will be given to those above 18 years of age. In Maharashtra, the third phase of Kovid vaccination remains symbolic. Vaccination centers are closed in many districts, while the Mumbai Police sent people back without getting vaccinated.

The state government said that we do not have vaccine dose. Seeing the deteriorating condition, the Mayor of Mumbai has appealed to the people to fold their hands and stay at home. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray announced to start the vaccination symbolically in the state from today. Under this, 3.5 lakh people between 18 and 44 years of age were to be vaccinated in different cities of the state.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar said that today there was a plan to vaccinate more than 3.5 lakh people, but we have a total stock of only three lakh vaccines. Out of that, 20 thousand doses have been sent to Pune, which will allow only those above 45 years of age to get vaccinated. Vaccination centers in Pune district will remain closed for the next two days.
