WHO Scientist : ‘Made-in-India Nasal Vaccines Could be Game Changer’ For Kids

There is no vaccine for children below 18 years of age in the country. Meanwhile, World Health Organization chief scientist Dr. Soumya Swaminathan said that corona’s nasal vaccine can prove to be a game changer for children.

Nasal vaccine is given through the nose and is more effective than injection. It is also easy to get a nasal vaccine. Dr. Swaminathan says that more and more school teachers need to get vaccinated. Swaminathan believes that a nasal vaccine made in India can be a game changer for children.

The government said on Saturday that the child is not safe from infection, but the government had also agreed that the effect of corona virus infection in children is minimal. Three to four per cent of the children are hospitalized. NITI Aayog member Dr.VK Paul says that if the children are infected with the corona virus, they will have little or no symptoms at all. He further said that we should focus more on 10-12 year olds.
