Step-by-Step TDAC Guide for Expats and Tourists Entering Thailand in 2025

Starting May 1, 2025, Thailand has transitioned from the traditional TM.6 paper arrival card to a fully digital entry process called the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC). This system is now mandatory for all foreign nationals entering the country—whether by air, land, or sea. The TDAC simplifies border control procedures, improves national security, and supports public health efforts through digital tracking. Whether you’re coming for a quick vacation, long-term work, or retirement, completing the TDAC is now an essential part of entering Thailand.

Who Needs to Submit the TDAC?

All foreign nationals entering Thailand must complete the TDAC. This includes tourists, business travelers, digital nomads, retirees, and long-term residents.

When Should You Submit the TDAC?

Travelers should submit their TDAC information within three days before their arrival in Thailand, including the date of arrival.

How to Submit the TDAC

  1. Access the TDAC Portal: Visit tdac.immigration.go.th.

  2. Choose Submission Type: Select either individual or group submission.

  3. Enter Personal Information: Provide passport details, personal information, travel itinerary, accommodation details in Thailand, and health declaration information.

  4. Review and Submit: Double-check all entered information for accuracy. Agree to the terms and conditions, then submit the form.

  5. Download the TDAC: After submission, download or print a copy of the TDAC for your records.

For detailed instructions, refer to the official TDAC User Guide.

Tips for Expats and Travelers

  • Regularly check the Thai Immigration Bureau for updates on visa policies and entry requirements.

  • Submit the TDAC and apply for the appropriate visa well in advance of your travel dates.

  • Keep copies of all submitted forms, visas, and related documents during your stay in Thailand.

For more detailed information and updates, visit the official TDAC website and consult with the nearest Thai embassy or consulate.
